This is an intimate story of a girl, and later, a woman, which takes place in the 1980s, but also includes the breakup of Yugoslavia, events of the 1990s, and war. I weaved into this play a part of me, some things I have experienced, things I have seen, things I have heard, things I have dreamt about. (Radmila Smiljanić)

This text, written with such sincerity, the product of the darkest crevices and purest joys of the author’s soul, cannot but touch each and every viewer. Like all texts that accurately describe us, and poignantly and precisely dissect the mentality that we have “flown on the wings of” for centuries, this drama too is a story that intertwines sorrow and joy, fear and hope, tears and song, blood and scotch.
